Catalogue Of Shinjo Kamo’s Letters

The Catalogue of Shinjo Kamo’s Letters is a collection of travel letters written prior to the Snow Plains conflict, discussing lands beyond Rokugan. The collection is noted to be limited in number. The Ikoma librarian confirmed that the library's holdings consisted solely of these unsigned and undated letters. After an incident in which the letters went missing overnight following Bayushi Monban's presence in the library, they were returned two days later without any new documents added.

During court proceedings, Ide Tsubame called upon the Ikoma librarian to authenticate the letters. The librarian testified that the collection had been pre-pulled for Emerald Magistrates and that he had not read every scroll. He confirmed the letters were missing after Monban's visit and that the entire collection had been returned without alterations. Tsubame argued that the timing of the letters' disappearance and Monban's access suggested a motive for forgery, proposing that Monban could have used the documents to create convincing evidence in Shinjo Kamo's handwriting. The librarian's testimony did not conclusively prove any wrongdoing but raised suspicions regarding the authenticity of documents associated with Monban.
