Dramatis Persona

Akodo Kage

Lion

What is known

Sensei to both Toturi and Akihito. Called Kakita Kazumi a liar to his face over the reconstructed treaty, and is still in the camp. That insult has not been answered — the duel was fought against somebody else.
S48In the war tent with Toturi. Both the Champion and Akihito care deeply about his opinion — which makes the man who called Kazumi a liar the most important unaddressed person in the camp.
S49Turned Midori's appointment straight back on his own council — if the Unicorn seat a magistrate of standing, the Lion should field their own rather than lean on the Crane. Which pushes them toward Akihito.
S50Seated above and behind Akihito, at the remove of someone who decides rather than argues. Gave the history of the Snow Plains with the line about correcting the errors in a mutual history, and took the Unicorn's deliberately tedious answer with good grace, knowing exactly what it was.
S51Produced the betrothal contract out of the Champion's own keeping, and a scribe to attest to the earlier marriage. Undertook to find the documentation and bring it to Winter Court. Told Setsuna that if Arasou is shown to have done everything properly the Lion will concede nothing on any point, because the implication itself is an insult. And then: quite clever, Crane — I hope you appreciate that there are limits to everything. He tabled the question of the divorce's formalities to a proper inquest at Winter Court himself.

Each line is what she took from the session it cites, and nothing else. The Archivist's own account of this person is not reproduced here — it blends what she saw with what she did not.
